Having run several successful Kickstarter campaigns over the past few years, one thing that always took the most time was getting reviews. Many review sites disregard Kickstarter comics for their lack of exposure to the wider community, the lack of big names attached and the varying degrees of quality produced.
I’m here to change that.
Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work with Matt Ligeti at his review website Comic Book Yeti (does that make me a Yeti now?) When asked what publisher I would like to cover, I said “Kickstarter” because I know the wealth of great comics that are produced there. So this is me announcing that if you have a Kickstarter Comic you would like reviewed, give me a follow on twitter (@RichardBMooney or Comics_and_Crypto) and we can get the ball rolling.
To get a review, the following criteria will need to be met:
- It needs to be a complete issue
- It needs to have been on, or going on Kickstarter
- It needs to be approved by Matt, it is his website after all.
The more info you send about the comic, the easier life will be!
Since I am doing this for free, I may not be able to get through all requests, but I will sincerely try. Let 2021 be the year of Kickstarter Comics!
